This game has finished.

Hello and welcome to Diplomacy! For several of you, this is your first or second game (I think) and I'm glad that you were gullible enough to want to play. This is a Play By E-Mail (hence the PBEM in the title) game. Basically, this means that most of the action will occur by e-mail. I'll accept orders by e-mail (though you can also submit them in writing), and a good deal of the communication will probably be done electronically (but not necessarily). Anyway, you may want to know who's who:

Peter Pelfrey - Russia -
Nate Coddington - Turkey -
Arthi Aravind - Germany -
Mitchell Lee - France -
Saketh Are - Italy -
Emilio Esteban - Austria -
Willis Wendler - England -

Now, you may be wondering where the name "PBEM2 I" comes from. Well, originally there was a series of games with names PBEM 1, PBEM 2, etc. However, near the end, the system started to get confusing, especially since there were two games known as PBEM 10 and PBEM X, as well as a PBEM 11 that either did or did not happen, etc... So basically, in an attempt to right the ship, this is the first game of the PBEM2 series (hence PBEM2 I). So yeah, impromptu history lesson.

Anyway, orders will generally be due at 5:00 PM, usually on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, though this is subject to change, and I would like to update during 8th period when the club meets. So yeah, just make sure to pay attention to my e-mails. If you do not turn in orders, all your units will hold, which is never good. If you do not send in orders a total of three times, or if you miss orders twice in a row, you will be replaced. However, if you request a deadline extension, I will most likely approve it. Also, I will be lenient when it comes to sickness and whatnot.

Spring 1901 orders will be due Friday at 5:00 PM. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. I'm on AIM and Google Talk (supermath314), and I should be on for most evenings. In additions, you can possibly find me in the area outside the Audlob, though I'm known for leading a nomadic lifestyle. There is no relevant question that's too stupid.

One last word of advice: Talk to everyone. If you are quiet, your neighbors will not know what to expect, and you may find yourself being attacked from all directions.

Let the game begin!
